“Office working table” covers a range of furniture so wide that the term is nearly meaningless on its own. Height comes first and is usually wrong
The default office desk height in the market is 750 mm. That figure suits someone around 175 cm tall. A person of 160 cm at a 750 mm desk sits with their shoulders raised and their forearms angled upward, which is the posture behind most neck and shoulder complaints in offices.
Two workable responses:
- 725 mm fixed height as the standard rather than 750 mm. It suits a wider band of the population and taller users adjust more easily downward than shorter users adjust upward.
- Height-adjustable legs where a desk is shared across shifts, or where a specific user needs it.
Whichever height you choose, the chair must adjust and a footrest must be available. A correct desk with a fixed chair is not a correct workstation.

The clearances people forget
Under the desk matters as much as on top of it. Knee space needs a minimum of 600 mm width clear of pedestals and 650 mm height clear of any rail or drawer. A modesty panel dropped too low, or a fixed pedestal placed under the knee zone rather than to the side, converts a correctly sized desk into an uncomfortable one.
